My favourite bear ....

Good evening crafters, can't believe it's nearly a week since my last post!

I've been doing the Ideas to Inspire blog every day and sadly been neglecting my own even though I have lots of cards to show you

This is my Lili's Little Fairies card for this week, the theme is anything but a square

image

I used one of the die cut sheets - I love James the Bear and you can get this front image in a stamp too here
The greeting is from the Christmas Circular Sentiments

The Tis' The Season wording was on the patterend paper but I didn't take note of the make of it - sorry!
The little swirly bit is a doo hickey die

Thanks for stopping by ...and thank you as always for all your lovely comments. I do try and visit all your blogs when I have the time

Have a lovely weekend

Snow Queen ….

Hello everyone, hope you’re all enjoying the weekend so far. It’s rained all day here, it’s been very grey and miserable …and it seems to be getting dark so early now :o(

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments on the blog hop, you’ve all loved the new Lili of the Valley stamps and sentiments - well done to the 2 lucky winners

Here’s my card for this weeks Lili’s Little Fairies challenge, the theme this week is ‘SPOTS AND STRIPES’ and I’ve used some of the fab new papers from Lili of the Valley

I was a bit pushed for time so I used one of the handy mini masterpiece sheets, this one is the Snow Queen image and I put on a couple of the sentiment tags (they are so useful)

I did the pearls with liquid pearls which is my new favourite product!

Flowers as usual are Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is seam binding which I died with a promarker to match the paper

Enjoy your evening everyone and thanks for stopping by

blog hop 2

I’ve used some of our new patterned papers from the Frosty Christmas pad and one of the Christmas sentiment tags which are launched tonight along with the stamps

The border is done with a Martha Stewart doily lace punch, I don’t use punches often (I love my dies) but I do really like this one and use it a lot
The circle behind the images is a Nellies die and the charm is from the Ribbon Girl.
I’ve done the snow with some liquid pearls. I’ve had a few bottles of this in different colours for years and never used them, I’ve just re-discovered them and they’re fab.
All the edges have been inked with a stormy sky distress ink and I’ve coloured him in with Copics and a touch of pencil
The ribbons are from Lili of the Valley but are only available in the shop at the moment

Hope you’re enjoying the hop – thanks for all your lovely comments and good luck with the prize draw!

The full DT are taking part and there are some amazing cards for you to see and 2 great prizes up for grabs

I have something I thought you’d like to see, I was watching Create and Craft one day and there was a bow maker being used. I said to my son how handy that would be to make nice bows and he came home from school the next day with this ….

…he made it for me in his wood work class bless him! The design may need a little fine tuning but it actually does work.

The two posts are glue sticks so the ribbon does stick to them a bit (lol) but isn’t it clever of him when there was nothing else that was suitable – he’s improvised!

Enjoy the rest of your evening, see you tomorrow x

A little friend …

Good evening everyone, I had a little drama today. I was coming back from taking Manny for his walk and I saw a little baby hedgehog on the path.

I know they shouldn’t be out in the daylight and I could see he was breathing but didn’t know if he was asleep or injured.

I ran home to get a box and he stayed curled up in there for about 2 hours then he started to wander about a bit and had some food and water, Manny was fascinated by him!

He seemed to be in good health so I decided to just release him but them I had a dilemma because where I found him is near the road, I didn’t want him near the road but I didn’t want his Mum looking for him so I was in a real quandary – all the time my husband is rolling his eyes at me!!

I ended up compromising and taking him to some woodland nearby, it’s not as far from the road as I would have liked but I don’t think it’s too far from where I found him.

I’d only worked at Lili of the Valley for 2 days when Lisa rang me and said they’d found a little injured hedgehog. I’d told her that I’ve rescued a few from the roadside and taken them to my local vet and she didn’t know what to do with him so they brought him over to me.

We all love animals and I think we knew then that I was going to fit right in lol. What can I say, I love the little hedgies   …they are so cute and I can’t bear to see them dead on the roads. I know a few accidents are unavoidable but I think a lot are mainly because of the idiots that drive too fast.

I’ll get off my soap box now and onto today's card. The theme over at Lili’s Little Fairies this week is  monochrome. I enjoyed this and found it a challenge to use just one colour.

I chose blue and I used one of the new mini masterpiece sheets, it saves so much time when you don’t have to colour your image.

Here’s what I used;

Core’dinations card

Lace from the Ribbon Girl

Wild Orchid Craft flowers

Gorgeous Maja design papers from dies to die for

Lili of the Valley sentiment tags

Magnolida doo hickey doily die

Spellbinders Circle dies

Right I’m going to watch a bit of the Olympics, I’ve really enjoyed it and have watched sports I never thought I would  …and team GB are doing so well!

Have a lovely evening x

Christmas In July ….

Good evening crafters, as promised I popped the names of all those of you who leave me comments regularly into a little draw and the winner is;

Well done Chris, email me with your address and I’ll send you a little prize
Thank you all for your lovely comments and continued support, it’s very much appreciated

Onto today’s card, it’s Christmas in July over at Lili’s Little Fairies and I made this card using the new mini masterpiece sheets from Lili of the Valley

Supplies;
Core’dinations card
Papermania Henbury Lane patterned paper (my favourite Christmas paper pad)
Lili of the Valley sentiment
Tim Holtz memo holder
Lace and seam binding from The Ribbon Girl
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
Spellbinders labels dies

I looped a little strip of micro beads in my flowers and I really like the effect

Right I think it’s bedtime for me, I had a meal with the girls last night and it was a late night with altogether too much food and wine.
I’m feeling my age these days and if I miss out on any sleep I need to catch up, I’m turning into my Mother!!

Have a lovely evening everyone
